Környezetbarát termékeink fejlesztésével és értékesítésével világszerte 428 millió tonna CO2-kibocsátást előztünk meg ügyfeleinken keresztül 2014-ben. Célunk, hogy 2020-ra felére csökkentsük szén-dioxid kibocsátásunkat, 2030-ra pedig karbonsemlegessé váljunk. Kiváló példa a budapesti irodaházainkon található 5000 m2-nyi zöld tető, amelyek installációját már az 1990-es években elkezdtünk, hogy elindítsuk ezt a folyamatot Magyarországon. A zöld tetőnek számos előnye van: csökkenti a fűtési és hűtési költségeket, hozzájárul a CO2-kibocsátás csökkentéséhez és segíti a szélsőséges csapadék esetében az elvezetést.

Mi a megoldás?

Már az 1990-es években elkezdtük a zöld tetőt telepítését a budapesti irodaházaink tetejére, mára pedig csaknem 5000 nm2-nyi felület található már ebben a formában. A zöld tetők esztétikai szépsége mellett funkcionális szereppel is bírnak, hiszen a klímaváltozás következtében fellépő változásokhoz segítenek alkalmazkodni, miközben kockázatcsökkentő, megelőző szerepe is van a CO2-kibocsátás csökkentés szempontjából.

Mi az üzleti kapcsolódás?

A fenntarthatóságnak számos dimenziója van. Számunkra a Siemensnél ez a fenntarthatóság azt jelenti, hogy a jövő generáció jóllétét szem előtt tartó vízió mentén dolgozunk. Az alapítónk, Werner von Siemens is így gondolkodott: „Nem fogom feláldozni vállalatunk hosszú távú jövőjét rövid távú előnyökért.” Vezető technológiai vállalatként célunk, hogy a vevőink működésében mérhető fenntarthatósági teljesítményjavulást érjünk el, miközben saját vállalati fenntarthatóságunkat is javítjuk – hiszen számunkra ez a jövő kulcsa. Meggyőződésünk, hogy a hitvallásunk szerinti működés a legjobb módszere sikerünknek: célunk, hogy saját CO2-kibocsátásunkat megfelezzük 2020-ra, 2030-ra pedig teljesen karbonsemleges működést célzunk megvalósítani.

Üzleti működésünkhöz leginkább a termékeink, szolgáltatásaink kapcsolódnak, a zöld tető elkötelezettségünket, progresszivitásunkat illusztrálja. Számunkra a helyi felelősségvállalás és példamutatás rendkívül fontos.

Eredmények és hatás

Összesen 428 millió tonna CO2-kibocsátást sikerült ügyfeleinknél világszerte megelőzni az általunk fejlesztett és értékesített környezetbarát és környezettudatos megoldásokkal 2014-ben. Ez a megtakarítás megfelel Németország teljes előző évi CO2-kibocsátásának 45%-nak. Már az 1990-es években elkezdtük a zöld tető telepítését, ezzel népszerűsíteni is kívántuk a megoldást Magyarországon. Mára mintegy 5000 nm2-nyi zöldtető felületet lehet találni a budapesti irodáink tetején. Ezeknek a zöld tetőknek számos előnyük van: csökkentik a fűtési költséget télen és a hűtési költséget nyáron; továbbá hozzájárulnak a CO2-kibocsátás csökkentését és csökkentik a szélsőséges csapadék által okozott károkat. Számos zöld tető megoldás létezik és egy élhető megoldást jelentenek a vállalatok és munkavállalóik életében.
